Do you have a plan?

“A goal without a plan is just wish”

I think this is a great quote, it simply highlights that we can have all the goals in the world, but without knowing the steps needed to accomplish them, it really is wishful thinking!

By reading this blog, i’m assuming that your goal is to reduce and eventually heal from PMS..

To be able to do this, I highly recommend implementing an action plan.

An example could be:

Daily Tasks:

Meditate
Drink plenty of water
Actively be aware of the stage that I am in, with regards to my monthly cycle
Move, seek fresh air, breath and relax

Weekly Tasks:

Research case studies and recovery strategies from Books and the Internet
Adapt food to be consumed, to benefit the current stage of my monthly cycle
Adapt exercise regime, to benefit the current stage of my monthly cycle

Monthly Tasks:

Add a mark on my calendar, highlighting next months PMS phase.
Celebrate success when a happy month has been had, due to a well thought out and delivered plan!

The Most Important Word for PMS Reduction

This is simple, “Transparency”

Transparency implies Openness, Communication, and Accountability.

If you are open, then you will no longer have to hide your symptoms.

If you communicate, then you will provide people with a much needed understanding of why you are not as relaxed / happy / energised, as normal.

If you are accountable, then you accept that it is your decision if you do not tell people, if you do nothing during the month to ease your symptoms e.g. exercise, diet choices, meditation.

… and you accept that by doing nothing, you are actually deciding to have that same argument again with your loved ones!

By doing nothing, nothing will change …

So what could you do this month?

Have you taken action yet?

I have met a number of people over the years who are very aware that they have PMS, maybe they have read some books, watched some YouTube videos… but most have never actually taken any action, even though they have spent many hours researching different tools and techniques.

Maybe these people are just not ready…? As to be honest, it does take a huge amount of commitment to achieve any real results and to ensure that they stay a habitual part of your life.

PMS can be cured! …. But it really depends on if you are ready for the journey?

The journey can be very long, filled with many lows at first, but it’s so fantastic when you actually start to see results for yourself, such as improvements in relationships, reduction in monthly tension and of course your first fully Happy Month, wow that’s a great feeling!

So are you ready to take action?

PMS Action

PMS is not the problem, it’s the symptom!

Is PMS your problem? or could it be that PMS is purely a manifestation of problems being experienced in your life?

This is an important question and one that must be considered.

For many years, I actually believed that PMS caused myself to feel irritated, unmotivated, ugly and insecure and that I had absolutely no control over this!

But with a lot of work, I have learnt that this is not the case!
PMS simply highlights the parts of ourselves that need to nurtured, developed and loved.

I now use PMS as a magnifying glass, as it allows me to see the areas of my life that need to be improved, developed and enhanced…. and it provides me with the opportunity to actively do something about it!

This approach means that PMS is no longer my enemy, but actually a positive life tool that I can use to improve myself, my relationships and my life.

PMS requires ABM (Action before Motivation)

Over the last few blog posts I have mentioned a number of different techniques that can be easily incorporated into your month that could truly make a difference to the way you feel…

As I know all to well, it is sometimes very difficult to find the motivation to change, even if the change will benefit you and the change is relatively simple to implement….

Typically if your mood is low, motivation for change will only follow action, so this month take action!! and motivation will naturally follow.

Action = Motivation = Change
